BARRACUDAS TAKE OUT MEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE FINAL

rhysBarracudas convincingly won the Men’s Premier League Final against River City on Saturday by 21 to 5. In a very one sided game, Australian National Team members Rhys Howden (pictured left), Billy Miller along with Dan Young, BJ Howden and Matt Giles were instrumental in the team’s performance. They played a leadership role both in the final and throughout the series. The result reflects the commitment to this level of competition by the Barracudas Club as well as their players.

The second game on finals day was a 9 all draw between Warriors and Polo Bears. This was a well contested game and the outcome is an indication of the spirit and commitment of how these two teams approached the competition throughout the series.

The top ranked junior players from these clubs have participated in the Premier League this season and the experience has given them the opportunity to play against/with the top names in Men’s Water Polo in Queensland.

The Premier League is set up for those elite players involved in QAS squads, National League Team Squads, EAP Squads and as a “pre-NWPL” preparation and is run over a 7 week period in October and November.
